**PLEASE note that "Freshman" is class of 2030. Players that will be freshman for the 2026/2027 school year. Class of 2029, should be looking at the JV calendar for the 2026/2027 season. Freshman PE Information

It is preferred all players enroll in Football PE (6th Period).   Incoming freshman should look into completing PE requirements during summer prior to the start of freshman year.  By doing so, you will not have to take PE 1 as a freshman and can enroll in Football PE/6th Period.Online PE Completion Options

Freshman Team (Frosh): Camp kicks off June 9th and wraps up July 3. Check the Freshman calendar. Frosh will practice 10:00am - noon Monday - Thursday @ CHS.

What is the “Dead Period”?

The Dead Period is a two-week break during the summer where all sports activities at CHS are paused.
This year’s Dead Period runs from July 14 to July 29.
️‍Mandatory fall practices begin on July 30.

What Gear Do Players Need to Purchase?

The program provides all required football equipment. Players are allowed to purchase their own helmets and/or shoulder pads. Have helmets ready by 7/30.Cleats: Summer Camp Donation/Registration ($300) includes UnderArmour Cleats.Helmets can be provided. If you have your own helmet, they are required to be re-conditioned every 2 years. If you need to send yours in to be reconditioned, please be sure its back and ready for use by 7/30/25. Frosh will be white helmets & White Face masks for 2025.Shoulder Pads - Can be provided by the team. Are Players Required to Ride the Bus to Games?

AWAY GAMES ONLY! Yes, players are expected to ride the team bus to and from all AWAY games.
Players should be aware of the schedule. Coaches provide additional times (e.g., pre-game meetings, etc) directly with players.

⏰ When Does the JV Bus Return for AWAY Games?

Most JV games are scheduled before Varsity games, but some may be held on Thursdays.For Friday night away games, JV players stay to support Varsity and return on the bus afterward.
Expected return time: Between 10:00 and 10:30 PM
For Thursday games, the JV team will return immediately following their own game.

How Do I Know When Practices Are?

Practice schedules vary by team Varsity/JV/Frosh. Players are expected to know and control their schedule. Coaches will communicate directly with players about additional, changed, updated times, etc.

✅ What Is Athletic Clearance?

Before joining practices, all players must receive Athletic Clearance from CHS:Complete a CHS Physical Form with a Doctor (and Parent if under 18). Have signed by Doctor.
Physicals can also be done on “Physical Night” 5/29/25 - right after school at CHS. They can get their physical on this date and turn in their physical, and physical form to obtain “Clearance”. Players can not play without clearance. What GPA Is Required to Play?

CHS requires a minimum 2.0 GPA to participate in any school sport.
If your player is having academic challenges, please reach out to their coach — support options may be available.
